陶芸家 伊藤環さんがご自身の作品とは別に、プロダクトとして自らがプロデューサーという立場で関わり、職人によって１点１点制作される「1+0」というブランドを立ち上げられました。 プロダクトと聞くと＝大量生産品というイメージがありますが、環さんが目指すのは、質の高い仕事をプロダクトとして提案していくというもの。
やきものが庶民に使われ、大量に作られだした江戸時代の器には、当時の名もなき陶工によって生み出された魅力的なやきものがたくさん見られるそう。
「1+0」は、そんな魅力的な器を目指し日々制作されています。
Well known Japanese potter Kan Ito established his 1+0 brand to provide a distinctive, high quality line of ceramic tableware that he could have produced in higher volumes than his personal work. The expanding line of tableware is designed by Ito who directs production of the pieces by local potters highly skilled on a wheel. This series of plates were designed for use with both Japanese and western cuisine.
